President M7 Awards Sister Rose Nelima & 29 Others Medals On Independence Day

President Yoweri KagutaMuseveni awards Sister Rose Nelima, the former had teacher of Mbale school for the deaf & 39 other  distinguished Ugandans with medals for their exceptional contribution towards the development of Uganda as Uganda celebrates its 62nd Indolence.

These medals have been categorized by the Presidential Awards committee, as provided for in the National Honors and Awards Act, 2001.

Forty (40) distinguished persons were identified by the Chancery, and His Excellency the President has approved their names and were award special medals.

Who is Sister Rose Nelima?

Sister Rose Nelima is a qualified Teacher, who was the head teacher at Mbale school for the deaf for over 6 years, but was pushed out of the school after mafias failing to get a kick back from her.

Her transfer hit the airwaves, forcing a parliamentary committee on Education and Sports  to intervene. 

Several meetings were held to establish the reasons why Sister Rose was being transferred at the few weeks to UNEB finals, which could affect the performance of the school. 

It was then discovered by the committee that Sister Rose had a group of ministry official, including the former education permanent secretary, who were fighting her for uplifting the institution.
