Viral video clip lands traffic officer in things, Speaker Among orders for his transfer to Parliament

The speaker of Parliament Anita Among requested for the officer who braved the heavy rain while controlling traffic be transferred to Parliament security.

Yesterday, Traffic Officer Abdallah Tusiime was recognised by his superiors at the Uganda Police for his commitment to duty during a rainstorm.

Tusiime was seen in a viral social media video braving heavy rain as he directed traffic at the Mawanda Road-John Babiiha Road intersection in Kampala.

The footage drew widespread praise from the public, and now, Uganda Police has formally recognised his efforts.

Police Spokesperson Kituuma Rusoke, in an official statement, shared the recognition Tusiime received:

Let me introduce you to the officer many of you saw on social media braving the rain to carry out his traffic duties. He demonstrated remarkable dedication to his responsibilities, and we have received numerous reports praising his enthusiasm and commitment to duty.

His positive attitude will be recognised and rewarded.
