Bugisu's Wanakina Lifted To Zonal Supporting Officers As Secretariat Issues Best PDM Performing Districts

Bugisu's Davidson George Wanakina has been lifted to Zonal Supporting Officers, which is a significant recognition of their hard work and dedication to the Parish Development Model (PDM). This is a huge achievement, and I'm sure the community is celebrating this news.

According to the Ministry of Local Government, the PDM Secretariat has also issued a list of the best-performing districts in the PDM. I'm excited to share this information with you. The top-performing districts have been recognized for their outstanding efforts in implementing the PDM, and I'm sure this will serve as a motivation for other districts to follow suit.

As per the Ministry of Local Government's guidelines, the PDM is a community-driven initiative that aims to improve the lives of people at the grassroots level. 

The model is designed to be implemented at the parish level, and it focuses on providing essential services such as healthcare, education, and economic empowerment.

The Ministry of Gender, Labour and Social Development is also responsible for the overall implementation of the PDM in their respective districts, cities, and municipalities. 

They submit progress reports on the implementation of the PDM to the Permanent Secretary Ministry of Local Government on a quarterly and annual basis.

It's worth noting that the PDM has been officially launched by H.E. Yoweri Kaguta Museveni Tibuhaburwa, President of the Republic of Uganda, and it's being implemented in various districts across the country. 

The model has been designed to be flexible and adaptable to the needs of each community, and it's being implemented in phases.

In terms of the implementation guidelines, the PDM establishment requirements consisted of clarifying the public services required at the Subcounty level versus those at the Parish level. 

The operational requirements included establishing the necessary structures and systems to support the implementation of the PDM.
