In her remarks, Namuwenge expressed joy and gratitude for being part of the celebration. I urge the couples to love and respect each other your marriage will last forever.
"I am your own; I grew up here. I came today because of happiness. I thank my brother Arafat for choosing to be a man among men and my sister Nunu for accepting to leave her home to be with us in Bugema," she said.
She commended Nunu's parents for their guidance and support, adding, "There is no mother who wouldn’t wish her daughter to marry. I thank the parents for raising Nunu well and the Imams and sheikhs for blessing this union. Let us all pray for a marriage full of everlasting love and blessings."
Namuwenge also prayed for Allah’s favor upon the couple, saying, "May only good things enter this marriage, you get good children, wealth, blessings, and everlasting love. I hope this union opens doors of blessings for others in this family who are yet to marry."
Emphasizing the celebratory nature of the event, Namuwenge assured attendees that her visit was purely for joy. "I am your sister, and my principle is to keep politics away from such occasions. We came here to celebrate, and I want everyone to remain firm and happy politics will come in 2026."
She praised Nunu as disciplined and well-grounded in religion, assuring the family that their daughter would be in good hands.
Namuwenge noted that, the aunties have done their part and urge them to continue supporting Nunu even after she starts her married life.
"This family I came with loves you 100 percent. When we leave here, that love will grow to 500 percent." She concluded.
