The speaker of Parliament, Rt. Hon. Anita Annet Among has promised to fulfill her pledge of fifty million shillings to the Uganda Parliamentary Press Association in the coming financial quarter.
"We are fully going to support the Parliament press Association in the next financial quarter, as the speaker of the house, I pledged 50m, and it will be delivered to the SACCO account next year without fail"- Speaker Among.
The above Statement was issued today the 13th of December 2024, during the swearing in ceremony of the new leadership, who were recently elected.
The team is led by president Sam Ibanda Mugabi of NBS and vice president Gwita Binji of UBC.

The speaker of Parliament who was the guest of honor was represented by parliamentary commissioner, Hon. Solomon Silwanyi, who assured them maximum support as they execute their daily duties.
During his speech, The newly elected President, Sam Ibanda Mugabi noted that in his first term leadership, a number of achievements are successfull.
This includes the formation of an active parliamentary press Association SACCO, Active Website, Social media platforms and footage Porto which enables media houses without reporters at Parliament to access footage.
