Several politicians and supporters have mourned the passing on of Kawempe North Member Of Parliament, Hon. Ssegirinya Muhammad, who died today morning at Rubaga Hospital.

While speaking to this publication one-on-one, Mbale City Member of Parliament, Hon. Karim Masaba rated late Ssegirinya as a leader who was practical and down to earth.

"I honestly didn't know him much at the start of parliament because he was imprisoned right after we started parliament, so I got to know him more when he got out, but again he was away in the hospital most of the time, but one thing for sure is he really loved his people, given his achievements in the shortest time, like his ambulances, setting up a health centre, a spilling centre, etc., and this has given many of us a challenge to do more for our voters"-Hon. Karim Masaba.

Karim further says the late Ssegirinya was always friendly, and he had started studies at IUIU in Mbale, and whenm they met, he used to jazz about how he liked it when in Mbale and that he should get time and give him a tour around the entire Bugisu subregion.

"People in Mbale were very nice to late Ssegirinya ways, he even requested me to invite him to campaign for me in 2026 because he had made many friends in Mbale city, he was very down to earth and a friend to all, it is so unfortunate that I will miss him and his promises" -Hon Karim Masaba said.
