"Don't Change Vibrant Leaders Like Speaker Among"- Mukula Urges Bukedea residents

Captain Mike Mukula, the NRM Vice Chairperson Eastern, has urged the people of Bukedea to support vibrant leaders like Speaker Anita Among if they're to see continued development in the district.

Mukula made this remark while addressing mourners at the funeral of Mzee George Okurapa in Okwakipi village, Komuge Parish, Kachumbala Sub County in Bukedea district earlier today.

In a nip of wisdom, Mukula used the analogies of an effective traditional drinking straw in Teso, epii, and an experienced chef to describe Speaker Among whom he urged Bukedea voters to fully rally behind to provide services due to her government position and influence.

"I want to assure you the people of Bukedea, Speaker Anita Among is now in the kitchen, holding the ladle which serves food, removing her and replacing with someone who goes to stand outside should not be an option," the NRM leader advised.

Mukula emphasized the importance of unity and cooperation in the district, despite existing problems. And encouraged the people to put aside their differences and work together to develop Bukedea.

Mukula noted that many people covet Speaker Among's seat due to its strategic position in the government, but warned Bukedea that removing her would be a significant loss for the district.

The NRM Vice Chairperson Eastern, praised Speaker Among's accomplishments in the district and urged the people to recognize her value. He cautioned against sending inexperienced representatives to Parliament, as they would require time to learn the ropes, ultimately hindering the district's progress.

He implored the religious leaders to pray for peace and preach reconciliation among political leaders in the region especially as the country enters into politics next year.

"Papa Bishop, continue to preach the message of peace, and reconciliation, Teso needs it," Mukula said in his closing remarks.
