Eng. Nakiyi Meets Bukyambi Sub-County Leaders, Tables Before Them His Five-Point Program To Elevate Budadiri East As We Near 2026 General Elections

Today, Eng. Nakiyi Julius, aspiring Member of Parliament for Budadiri East, hosted an influential delegation from Bukyambi Sub-County at his Mbale-based Rosewood Hotel as part of preparations for the upcoming NRM primaries. The delegation included LC1 chairpersons from all 20 villages and 4 parishes in Bukyambi Sub-County, alongside prominent religious leaders from both the Christian and Muslim faiths.

During the meeting, Eng. Nakiyi Julius reaffirmed his commitment to his transformative 5-point program for Budadiri East, calling on leaders and residents to unite behind his vision to unlock the constituency’s full potential. He emphasized the importance of inclusive leadership and urged the attendees to join his mission to empower every household in Budadiri East.

Promote economic independence through the Parish Development Model (PDM) and support for agriculture, small businesses, and cooperatives.

2️⃣ Improved Education and Youth Empowerment:

Lobby for better school facilities, teacher support, and vocational training to equip the youth with practical skills for job creation.

3️⃣ Infrastructure Development and Service Delivery:

Push for better road networks, clean water access, and the upgrading of health facilities to HCIV status for better healthcare delivery.

4️⃣ Agricultural Transformation:

Advocate for subsidies on farm inputs, irrigation projects, and modern farming techniques to increase productivity and ensure food security.

Foster peace, transparency, and unity in leadership to represent the needs of all people across Budadiri East.

The meeting also saw a significant milestone as some influential members of the FDC opposition party, including Mr. Namusoso Kenneth, voluntarily joined the NRM, pledging their support for Eng. Nakiyi Julius’ candidacy. This marked another step in uniting the constituency under one shared vision for development.

Eng. Nakiyi Julius also informed the attendees of his plans to hold two major rallies on 1st March in Bukyambi and Zesui Sub-Counties, where he will further elaborate on his program and continue spreading President Museveni’s wealth creation message, encouraging households to embrace economic empowerment initiatives.
