The Uganda Police Force has confirmed that Samuel Ebwang, a former District Police Commander (DPC) whose photos have been circulating online showing a changed identity, is officially classified as a deserter.
Police spokesperson Kituuma Rusoke addressed the issue, stating that Ebwang, who previously served as DPC in Wandegeya, Nsangi, and Buyende, left Uganda for Australia without following proper procedures.
The police spokesperson revealed that Ebwang did not formally resign before leaving the country and will be arrested upon return to the country.
