"President M7 Offered Free Education, Stop Unlawful School Fees Charges In UPE/USE Shools" - RCC Bayole As He Moves To Conduct A Crackdown & Arrests

The recently transferred Resident City Commissioner, who is also the father of the Queen (Inebantu) of Busoga, Mr. Bayole Stanley has vowed to crackdown Heads Of Schools for unlawful School fees charges In UPE/USE Shools in Forteportal.

Bayole made the statemen during the Tarehe sita celebrations at Buhinga stadium on 6th Feb 2025.

In his communication Mr Bayole assured the gathering that Security agencies in Fort Portal City have launched a crackdown on public school administrators illegally charging school fees.

According to Mr Bayole, the operation is aimed at ensuring compliance with education regulations and Government policies.

"We alread arrested a teacher who was extorting money illegally from parents in a government school and we shall make more investigations"- Said Bayole. 

Mr. Bayole further said the free education program was to ensure children of the poor access formal education, but unfortunately, this has been frustrated by some government officials, including head teachers. 

“I informed the guests that the NRM government started free education for the poor a long time ago. The challenge we have is the sabotage by unbothered government officials who extort money from parents in government schools,” Mr Bayole.

“This government’s goal is affordable education. I urge Ugandans to support NRM’s free education policy, which president M7 started in 1996,” he said.
