PHOTOS: The ICT Cluster Chairperson of the Northern Corridor Infrastructure Project (NCIP) and Permanent Secretary of  the Ministry of ICT, Dr Amina Zawedde, led a Ugandan delegation to a two-day NCIP meeting in Juba, South Sudan.


Hosted by South Sudan’s Ministry of ICT and Postal Services, the meeting brought together Technical Heads of Ministries, Regulators, and Space Agencies from member states, including Kenya, Rwanda, South Sudan, and Uganda, to discuss proposals for developing a regionally owned and operated communication and broadcasting satellite.


The Ugandan delegation also visited the Uganda Embassy in Juba, where they were hosted by H.E. Brig. Gen. Ronnie Balya, Uganda’s Ambassador to South Sudan.


Currently, Uganda, Kenya, Rwanda & South Sudan are in discussions on a regionally owned communication & broadcasting satellite. Uganda’s delegation, led by Dr. Amina zawedde.
