Ministry Of ICT, JICA & Other Stake Holders Hold The 4th Joint Coordination Committee Meeting For UJ-Connect Project


Today, the Ministry of ICT and National Guidance, in partnership with the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA), held the 4th Joint Coordination Committee meeting for UJ-Connect Project , bringing together key stakeholders from the ministry of Sports and Education, Uganda Communication Commission (UCC), PSF Uganda, and ICT startups involved in the project.

The meeting focused on assessing and reviewing the project’s progress.

The Uganda Japan Connect (UJ Connect) project aims to integrate Uganda's ICT sector with Japan's through four key outputs: 

Enabling environment, ICT human resource competitiveness, business matching, and technology-driven entrepreneurship.

Significant achievements include the development of ICT intellectual property guidelines, a business matching platform, and a digital skills strategy aligned with the ministry of Education and Sports.
