Ugandan students under their umbrella body Uganda National Students Association (NASA) have endorsed Captain Mike Mukula for NRM Eastern Region Vice chairperson seat, as the party gears up to hold its internal election for its CEC members.
The student leaders made the endorsement while in a meeting with captain Mike mukula at his home in Bugolobi, Kampala.
Mukula has been the NRM Eastern Region Vice chairperson for more than 2 terms and has been massively winning his opponents, including Mr. Sajje Tanna, an Indian business from Tororo.
According to student leaders, captain Mukula has performed to the expectations.
"We Endorse Captain because he is a performer, he has embraced and promoted government programs, directly and indirectly"- they said.
The student leaders further noted that Captain Mukula’s region was the 2nd in giving President Museveni Victory in the 2021 general elections.
"Eastern Region performed very well in the 2021 general elections, the nrm party won almost 99% Member of parliament seats and LC5 bosses" -Said the student leaders.
