"We Need Service Delivery"-Bukyambi Sub-County Leaders As They Endorse Eng. Nakiyi For Budadiri East MP Bid.

Leaders from Bukyambi Sub-County have pledged their full support for Eng. Nakiyi Julius in his bid for the Budadiri East parliamentary seat in the 2026 elections. The endorsement comes as Nakiyi prepares for the upcoming NRM party primaries.

The commitment was made during a strategic meeting held at Nakiyi’s Rosewood Hotel in Mbale City.

Attendees included all LC1 chairpersons from the 20 villages, chairpersons of four parishes, LC3 chairperson and his councilors, two religious leaders a Muslim and a Christian, youth representatives, NRM Women’s League, both the NRM and National Council in Bukyambi.

Sulaiman Wasukira, a resident of Bukyambi, likened Nakiyi’s welcome to the arrival of December, expressing confidence in his leadership.

"He has never just talked without action. We pledge our full support as NRM party members in Bukyambi," he said.

Masanga Francis, LCII chairman of Bukama Parish and NRM General Secretary for Bukyambi Sub-County, assured Nakiyi of overwhelming support.

"This time, you will secure 98% of the votes in Bukyambi. We also wish you good health as we prepare to welcome you on March 1, 2025," he stated.

Women leaders urged Nakiyi to engage more directly with the community and support them with essential items such as saucepans, plates, and chairs for local gatherings.

In his address, Eng. Nakiyi emphasized that his ambition is not about seeking employment but rather securing a platform to effectively advocate for the needs of his constituents.

"Right now, when I speak, people question in what capacity. If you give me the mandate, I will have the authority to access key offices and lobby for development projects that will benefit Budadiri East," Nakiyi stated.

He urged the community to support him in securing the NRM party flag, promising to work toward economic empowerment and improved livelihoods.

"If you are the only wealthy person in an area while others struggle, your wealth is not sustainable. But if the people around you are empowered, it ensures stability for everyone these are the things I have come to fight," he noted.

Nakiyi outlined his five-point development agenda, focusing on economic liberation, unity, improved social services, and infrastructure development.

He concluded by assuring leaders that on March 1, 2025, he will visit Bukyambi and Zesui Sub-Counties to fulfill his pledge of providing requested items to each parish.
