Mr. Stanley Bayoole, the Fort Portal City Resident City Commissioner (RCC), has emphasized the importance of financial discipline among Emyooga beneficiaries.
Speaking at the North Division Boda Boda Emyooga Sacco Annual General Meeting, Bayoole urged all government poverty eradication initiative beneficiaries to maintain good financial management behavior for prosperity.
RCC cautioned against luxury spending and lack of transparency, warning that these practices can lead to the decline of any institution.
The Sacco has made significant progress, growing from an initial 50 million to become one of the successful Emyooga Saccos in the region.
He commended the group for their unity and visionary leadership, as well as their embrace of the NRM poverty eradication campaign. He encouraged other youth to follow the group's example and engage with NRM and President Museveni's poverty eradication initiatives, such as the Youth Livelihood Programme (YLP), Parish Development Model (PDM), and Emyooga.
Emyooga, a presidential initiative, aims to promote wealth and job creation through specialized skills enterprises and groups.
