The Permanent Secretary Ministry of ICT & National Guidance, Dr. Amina zawedde together with assistant commissioner Research and development Ambrose Ruyooka are attending the Mobile World Congress 2025 (MWC25) in Barcelona, under the theme “Converge. Connect. Create.” This theme showcases collaboration in shaping the future of technology.
As of today, the delegation has participated in discussions on Industry Digital Transformation, exploring the roles of AI, IoT, and 5G in key sectors. The delegation has also examined innovations in education, healthcare, mining (oil & gas), and manufacturing, aligning with Uganda’s Digital Transformation (DX) Roadmap.
Dr. Zawedde also engaged with Dr. Diana Atwine, the Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Health, and Eng. John Tanui, MBS, Principal Secretary of the Ministry of Information, Communications, and the Digital Economy, Kenya, to strengthen regional collaboration on technology driven development.
