While at the 13th graduation ceremony of the Uganda Aviation Academy (UAA), which took place on April 11, 2025, at the Protea Hotel in Kampala, it was noted that female graduates outnumbered their male counterparts, a milestone praised by Olive Lumonya, Deputy Director General of the Uganda Civil Aviation Authority, to Capt. Mike Mukula for championing gender inclusion.
At the event, graduates received certificates in courses like Flight Operations and Dispatch, Aviation Management, Quality Management, Safety Management, and Aviation Security Awareness.
The ceremony also featured advice from notable figures, such as Hon. Esther Passaris, Woman Member of Parliament Nirobi County, who urged graduates to avoid drug abuse to succeed.
