GITEX Africa 2025, kicked off on the 14th of April and concluded on the 16th in Marrakech, Morocco, this was the continent’s largest tech and startup event, attracting over 45,000 participants and 1,400 exhibitors from 130+ countries.
Organized by KAOUN International under the Dubai World Trade Centre, in partnership with Morocco’s Ministry of Digital Transition and Administration Reform and the Digital Development Agency, it showcased innovations in AI, fintech, cybersecurity, cloud computing, IoT, agritech, healthtech, and more.
Key highlights included the Africa Future Connectivity Summit, Diaspora Studio for global African innovator collaboration, and initiatives like SheWins Africa to empower women-led startups.
The event featured 700 speakers, 650 ministerial delegations, and over 3,700 investor-startup meetings, fostering digital transformation and economic growth. Posts on X reflected high engagement, with organizations like Atos, NITDA Nigeria, and Raspberry Pi highlighting their participation and discussions on digital trade and AI-driven strategies.
