Speaker Among to officially open Healing way Hospital Bugolobi

The Speaker of the Parliament of Uganda, Rt. Hon. Anita Among is set to officially open Healing way Hospital Bugolobi on Wednesday the 9- April-2025

This was confirmed by Captain Mukula, the facility director.

HEALINGWAY HOSPITAL which is located in  Bugolobi (Formerly Paragon) has an ultra modern design and medical facilities -  capacity.

The facility recently installed the iStar 500 compact, fully automated chemiluminescence immunoassay (CLIA) analyzer designed for fast and accurate diagnostic testing. 

It delivers results in about 11 minutes and processes up to 36 tests per hour, making it ideal for small to mid-sized labs. 

It features auto-sampling, real-time monitoring, and advanced anti-contamination systems.

The analyzer supports a broad range of tumor marker tests including CEA, AFP, PSA (total and free), CA 125, CA 19-9, CA 15-3, and more, aiding in early cancer detection and treatment monitoring.

It also has Dialysis machines for the treatment of the kidneys when they fail or can’t work properly. 

The machine removes waste products, excess fluids, and toxins from the blood—things that healthy kidneys normally filter out. It also helps maintain the right balance of electrolytes like potassium, sodium, and calcium in the body.There are two main types:

   •   Hemodialysis: Blood is filtered through a machine outside the body.

   •   Peritoneal dialysis: A fluid is used inside the abdomen to draw out waste through the peritoneal membrane.

Dialysis helps manage kidney failure symptoms and prolongs life, but it’s not a cure.
