A bitter dispute has erupted between Abubakr Kawanguzi, the head teacher of Nkoma Secondary School in Mbale City, and Musitafa Wobudeya, a physics teacher at the school. The conflict has been escalating daily, with both parties trading accusations.
During a recent press conference conducted on Saturday, Kawanguzi announced that the school has taken legal action against Wobudeya for spreading malicious information about the school.
Kawanguzi alleged that Wobudeya has been disseminating false information on social media platforms, claiming that the head teacher has hired people to kill him.
The head teacher attributed Wobudeya’s actions to a recent reshuffle at the school, which resulted in Wobudeya being removed as the head of the Physics department.
He says the school has reported the matter to police and currently
Wobudeya, a science teacher specializing in physics and mathematics, is employed by the school’s board of governance, not the government.
In response, Wobudeya yesterday on Tuesday denied the allegations, claiming that it is actually Kawanguzi who has hired guns to threaten his life .
Wobudeya stated that he has received numerous threatening messages and phone calls, warning him that his days are numbered. He expressed fear for his life, saying he is hesitant to come to town or school due to the perceived threats.
The situation has become increasingly tense, with Wobudeya publicly stating that if anything happens to him, Kawanguzi and his fellow teachers will be held responsible.
